Ad Infinitum is an atmospheric single-player horror game, which puts you into a World War I setting seen through a first-person perspective. You find yourself in the trenches of a forlorn battlefield where your are being hunted by vicious creatures. Solve puzzles to clear pathways and sneak through trenches to hide from vicious creatures. Avoid dangerous threats and try to escape this world of pain and death. Besides the realistic graphics, the game features a stealth system, puzzle-solving and exploration of the vicious game world which all culminates in a subtle yet intense story.

The story was lovely, personifying the aspects of this WWI veteran and how his brainwashing from his grandfather affected not only his own morals but also the fate of his brother and family. There's at least two endings depending on your choices in the game and which "Path" you choose to take, facing off against demonic aspects of how your character views your family members and reflects on all of the actions they took in the War. Sadly, it's just another walking simulator, but the story, visuals, and slow but sure reveal of the nasty things done by not only yourself but also your family members during the stress of the War made up for the gameplay.

This is a horror game based on the first world war with a great story. You play as a German soldier who switches between nightmares and reality. The story is amazing and the soundtrack is absolute bangers. It does feel a bit like a walking simulator from time to time, but it also has some great, scary areas and the monster designs are simply amazing. I mostly had trouble with some mouse mechanics, but that could also just be a skill issue. There are multiple endings and plenty of achievements, which makes multiple playthroughs and replayablity pleasant if you want to see everything this game has to offer. Overall, I really liked this game (coming from someone who doesn't do well with horror games)
