Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse is a 2.5D platform game developed by Sega Studios Australia and published by Sega. The game is a remake of the original 1990 Sega Genesis video game of the same name, which was the first title in the Illusion series of Mickey Mouse video games. The game was released on PlayStation Network on September 3, 2013, and on Xbox Live Arcade and Microsoft Windows the following day. It was released for Mac OS X by Feral Interactive on July 24, 2014.

CASTLE OF ILLUSION 7/8 "Nostalgic Mickey" GRAFICA:8 1/2 SONORO:7 1/2 GIOCABILITA':7 1/2 LONGEVITA':6 1/2 TRAMA:8 EMOZIONE:8 1/2 +Nostalgico all'ennesima potenza +Ambientazioni e grafica riuscitissime +Divertente e senza tempo -Controlli un po' impastati -Level design semplicistico -Dura pochissimo Certe volte mi chiedo perché arrivi sistematicamente un momento in cui mi vorrebbe voglia di fare un rewind nel tempo e tornare negli anni in cui ero bambino. A fare questo i videogiochi mi danno una mano enorme ed il genere principale che mi porta in questo viaggio nel tempo è quasi sempre il platform 3D. Castle of illusion ha una storia leggermente diversa in realtà : esce nel 2013 come remake del titolo originale uscito su sega mega drive nel 1990. Non avendo giocato il gioco originale , mi sono buttato sul titolo un po’ come feci con wonder boy e ducktales remastered e devo dire che la nostalgia è la chiave anche di questo titolo . Il gioco alterna momenti in 2D a momenti in 3D in maniera efficace riuscendo a colpire nel segno con un gameplay lento ricordante più un Donkey Kong country che un super Mario Bros per intenderci . I controlli sono invecchiati non benissimo : ci sono varie imprecisioni che rendono l esperienza più complessa di quanto non lo sia ( siamo comunque sul decisamente più semplice rispetto a wonder boy e ducktales ) ma riuscendo a fare saltare alla mente le bestemmie del passato nei confronti dei joystick. Bellissime ed ispiratissime le ambientazioni, forse un po’ meno il level design molto semplicistico . Il gioco dura decisamente troppo poco però : pochi livelli anche se bellissimi da vedere ed esperienza decisamente compassata. Castle of illusion è perfetto per passare una serata o due immersi nella nostalgia dei videogiochi degli anni novanta e nella magia Disney dei vecchi tempi: peccato per la scarsa durata e i controlli non molto responsivi ma siamo di fronte a un titolo super consigliato ai sognatori ed ai nostalgici come il sottoscritto .

Kurzes, nett gemachtes Jump 'n' run, was auch nicht allzu sschwer ist. Bringt Freude, egal ob man das alte Sega Original auf dem das Game basiert kennt oder nicht. :)

Plataformeo simple pero sólido acompañado de una puesta en escena muy buena con un mundo muy vivo y divertido que te deja con ganas de más. Quizás su corta duración sea lo único malo.

Great remake stuck true to original loved replaying this through such nostalgia as I love original which they did justice and brought it in to modern age successfully also loved how I had the options to use new or old soundtracks

Buen número de niveles y jefes sencillos, algo parecido entre Donald de Ps1 con el Mickey manía que he probado. Medianamente entretenido, muy bonito visualmente.

Juegazo y de los mejores de Mickey Mouse. Jugué a la versión original y me gusto mucho y esta Re imaginación no se queda atrás es un muy buen juego y bastante divertido. Muy recomendado para los que les gustan las plataformas.
