Like its predecessor, Diablo II is an action role-playing game with dark fantasy and horror themes. The player controls a new hero attempting to stop the destruction unleashed by Diablo's return. The game's 4 acts feature a variety of locations and settings to explore and battle in, as well as an increased cast of characters to play as and interact with. Diablo II had become one of the most popular online games of all time. Major factors that contributed to Diablo II's success include what fans found to be addictive hack-and-slash gameplay and free access to Battle.net.

I remember being on a trip when this game shipped and delivered to my house. I had to wait 3 days while my friend was out there leveling toons. This was one of the genre defining games. Even more so than Diablo I, we expanded to eventually 7 classes and I would play each of them. The skill trees were so good, leveling, gear, affixes, the rune system. Yet to see a game since that wrapped me up in story, had this kind of gear and mod system that just felt like you could play endlessly and still have fun. Resurrected was a great refresh on graphics and port to the Battle.net app

Iconic. I've replayed it so many times and it never really gets old. Diablo II is an epic tale of good versus evil that allows you to choose from several hero classes, offering a huge variety of gameplay options. The graphics were amazing for 2000 standards, but the remake, Diablo II Resurrected offers a more updated look.

A lot of improvements from Diablo 1! There's outdoor areas now, sets, crafting (kind of). Abilities feel more complex now, and you can set keybinds with f1-9 fyi. Music is really nice but sound in general is all over the place, like voices can be really quiet compared to other sound effects then music can be really quiet too at max volume and sound effects can be really loud at almost 10% at the same time. Cinematics are pretty good too. This refers to the crafting but good tip is to look up the horadric cube cause there's a lot of things you can make with it. On a first normal playthrough making things isn't a necessity but can come in handy. Difficulty-wise it does spike up later on and some bosses can hit really REALLY hard. I played as a druid so don't know how other classes survive but I did with a whole army. Final thing the cow level isn't a lie!
