Final Fantasy X is the tenth main installment in the FF series and the first title released on sixth-generation consoles. It was also the first game to feature fully three-dimensional areas rather than including pre-rendered backdrops, and the first to include voice acting. Final Fantasy X tells the story of a star blitzball player, Tidus, who journeys with a young and beautiful summoner named Yuna on her quest to save the world of Spira from an endless cycle of destruction wrought by the colossal menace Sin.

While the story did hook me eventually, it was a slow start and the grinding for every boss once you got past the halfway point got a little annoying.

Геймплей не гавно, он просто мега унылый. Игра полностью линейна и представляет из себя один огромный коридор, прерывающийся боями, которые не представляют вообще никакой опасности в 99% случаев. НО! У игры очень крутая (для своего времени) презентация. Вышла она в начале жизни пс2 и разрабы просто флексили тем что могут сделать на новом железе. Сюжет такой нормальный, а главное - очень быстро движущийся (правда соплей там пиздец, но оно не особо напрягает). Ну кароч игра збс и для общего развития пройти разок не будет лишним. (У неё ремастер есть, но они там всё всрали, лучше играть в оригинал)

Um dos melhores JRPGs de todos os tempos. Jogo é belissimo, estória incrivel, gameplay que envelheveu bem e um dos ultimos jogos a conter o Nobuo Uematsu na composição da trilha sonora. 10/10 como o próprio titulo.

FFX was my first entry into the series. Back in 2002, me and my brother, had received a PS2 for Christmas, along with a copy of Kingdom Hearts. When I finally finished Kingdom Hearts a few weeks later. I looked for other games to try. So, I visited my local video rental store, and that is when I picked up FFX. The game's story is about a young man named Tidus, a popular blitzball player who is sent 1,000 years into the past. A past in which, Spira, is constantly attacked by a giant whale-like creature named Sin, and its society is stuck in a perpetual cycle of life and death. Tidus eventually meets Yuna, a summoner whose sole purpose is to hopefully defeat Sin, by calling the "Final Aeon." As the journey progresses Tidus narrates his thoughts and feelings on particular matters while educating the viewer of the world he's been forced to be in. The story maintains a constant air of bittersweet, existential sadness to it while having some small moments of levity. As far as the combat goes, it uses something called a Conditional Turn-based System. The system determines a character's placement in the queue of attacks based on the choices of the player. As for character progression, the game forgoes the classic job system and instead uses the Sphere Grid. A board that provides options in spells, abilities, or attacks for the seven members of the party to learn depending on which path the player decides to take. Overall, the game far exceeded my expectations. It got to the point. As I drew closer to its inevitable end. I dreaded finishing it. And when I did, I felt a bittersweet sadness as the credits rolled. I even cried!! It is an engaging, rich, and colorful world with a wonderful cast of characters surrounded by an impending doom in a form of a very large whale.
