I liked this game because the simulation was off the charts. Until I am pumping gas, running a store, being a mechanic, washing cars, and trying to keep a child from putting graffiti on the walls. I tried really hard to 100% the game in achievements but I cannot raise my popularity up high enough to complete the last two achievements: Desert Sensation and Superstar. But I did enjoy the game!

To be honest, I have seen more stable early access/beta-games than this one AFTER release. Typical unreal "bugs" (and crashes) and item physics behaviour. On the plus-side: very detailed management game for a gas station in the desert-area of the USA which keeps you busy for hours. Tons of fun to play (when it does NOT crash. Rated it very positively due to crashes being worked on (according to the devs). Will re-evaluate in the future. Steam review: Attention! This review is written BEFORE testing the September 2022 patch/update! I want to like this game. I really do. But it makes it hard to like it because in 4 hours of gameplay it crashes at least 3 times due to problems with the Unreal engine. (Win 11). So why do i then recommend it? First of all, the idea is great. It is a well working business simulation with nice ideas how to level up and expand your business. Storage management, service, employee management are all part of this nice idea. Yes, but the crashes... The game has flaws and the developers seem to know about that. That is why they built in a "vehicle despawn"-button in case, that one of the AI-drivers is so dumb that he creates a traffic jam by running into the ongoing traffic of people willing to enter the station. The same for the AI delivery drivers - There is a reset button for that, if the drivers are too stupid to drive through a barn and get stuck in there. (Yes, often Rudy does NOT fix the situation). In the end what saves this game from a "not recommended" is, that the crashes usually did not do too much damage: the game's autosave is great! A player loses at max a few minutes of gameplay. Yes, it can mean a lot of work to be redone, but hey, it is like in real life. In addition to that, it seems, that the developers have a team working on fixes (as mentioned before, there WAS a patch just days after I finished playing!). Will restart the game eventually and see, if fixes work, If not, I will re-evaluate my recommendation.
