I honestly hate to be harsh on a game i played in my childhood, but looking back this particular entry is lackluster compared to the first. The problem is likely due to limitations of the GBA but this game was extremely padded compared to the first and not in a good way. The sheer increase in abilities, dungeon length, and back and forth, make this game a slog compared to the previous. Scaling is also a concern with some bosses being a bit to absurd or ridiculous stat/ability wise. Overall the conclusion of Felix's story and journey were excellent and even the ending was pretty solid. But all the makeups make me give it about 2.5/5. Together they get about a 3.5 I would say. Overall the series suffers from a giant meltingpot of many ideas which are then unfortunately cobbled together into the Golden Sun we know and love for better or for worse.

Really good follow up to the previous game. Or, more accurately, the other half. Good wrap up to the story.

very similar to GS1, picks up where previous left off, released just a year later, very likely divided due to hardware limitations
