So is it a collective of passionate developers or advertising? Nvidia supported RTX modifications of Quake and Portal, here it's not so official, but the demo came out suspiciously close to the release of the new video cards series, also with support of new technology of drawing artificial frames, which is only available on the 50th series.. (Why not for everyone, by the way?) But damn, I'd be lying if I said that I didn't enjoy it, during the game I kept stopping and taking screenshots, of course making Ravenholm for the demonstration is not the best choice, especially since the perception is already mixed with the recent demo of "Project Borealis", although there are a lot of "fiery" scenes, which with ray tracing really grabs your attention with every lit barrel explosion🔥 But in Nova Prospekt, the textures have already been noticeably tightened, and the new lighting greatly changes the atmosphere, not everywhere, probably, but it creates enough places to replay the game for the λ2nd time, Half-life 2 is full of gray locations, which were a bit stuffy for me as a child, so I'm still ready to give the devs a chance and look forward to the full release with timid hope.. Yes, the optimization is not far from the "RtxPortal", but now at least we are allowed to try out the demo first and share our beta testing, On my poor 3060 (not ti) in 1K there are already playable 25 fps on medium, and I still played in windowed mode, because on a wide monitor the blurry moments are too noticeable (the emptiness of the original locations for 2025 also plays a role), without DLSS the picture completely broke for me (2 additional types of scaling are even more blurry), I mean that on 4060 and higher you can play even with a little comfort, but people with the 20th series are already trash for Huang, apparently not worthy of any exclusive with a kind-next-gen technology (although, for example, the recent "Indiana Jones and the Great Circle" uses full ray tracing from the new id Engine and works great on 2060), by the way, game ate about 9 gib. of video memory. At the same time, unlike the previous crappy RTX creations, here we have almost a remake, a huge (judging by the credits) team of enthusiasts has well reworked all the NPC models, and (as it is written) "from scratch" recreated the weapon models, but they really upset me.. mp7 and other don't have enough polygons for such graphics or something, there is some kind of falseness in them.. Only the new bright orange gravity gun, shotgun and gloves of the Hev suit look nice. p.s. Why didn't they make a separate page for the demo version.. Да, оптимизация недалеко ушла от "RtxПортала", но теперь нам хотя-бы сначала дали опробовать демоверсию и поделиться своим бета-тестом, На моей нищебродской 3060 (не ti) в 1K уже играбельные 25 фпс на средних, причём я всё равно играл в оконном режиме, ибо на широком мониторе слишком сильно бросаются в глаза мыльные моменты (ещё играет роль пустоватость оригинальных локаций для 2025-ого года), а без DLSS картинка у меня вообще полностью ломалась (2 дополнительных вида масштабирования ещё более мыльные), подразумеваю что на 4060 и выше можно поиграть даже с небольшим комфортом, а вот люди с 20-ой серии для Хуанга уже мусор, не достойный видимо ни одного эксклюзива с типо-некстгеновой технологией (хотя, например, недавний "Indiana Jones and the Great Circle" использует полноценный ретрейсинг от нового движка id Engine и прекрасно работает на 2060), по видеопамяти у меня жрало, кстати, около 9 гигов. При этом в отличии от предыдущего RTX-позора тут у нас почти Ремейк, огромная (судя по титрам) команда энтузиастов хорошо переработала все модельки NPC, и (как написано) "с нуля" воссоздала модельки оружий, но вот они меня прям покоробили.. MP7 и остальному прям не хватает полигонов для такой графики что-ли, какой-то фальш в них чувствуется.. Красиво выглядит только новая яркооранжевая Грави-пушка, дробовик, ну может арбалет ещё, ну и сами перчатки Hev-костюма.

The demo gives hope for the only good RTX-exclusive, it`s already a little more playable, and the lighting is able to change the atmosphere of the game, but the new weapon models are disappointing
