The latest entry in the mainline "Metroid" series has Samus Aran brave the depths of planet ZDR to investigate the apparent reappearance of the deadly X parasites and the disappearance of seven research robots sent to that planet to discover the veracity of the video showing the X on the planet. After Samus encounters and is defeated by a mysterious Chozo warrior, she finds herself trapped in the bowels of the mysterious world, and must make her way back to the surface, aided only by her ship's onboard AI, a digital copy of her former CO Adam Malkovich. All the while, Samus finds herself undergoing a transformation, and she is hunted by the very robots whose disappearance she was sent to investigate... Metroid Dread is another amazing entry in the Metroid series, though I feel it fell short in two ways. First, I feel that the story could have been fleshed out a bit more, specifically with regards to the main antagonist's role in past games, as certain elements seem to show that he his influence was seen on Zebes at least twice. Second, the music is... less than stellar. It's not bad and it definitely hits the background ambience just right, but it's just not memorable like music from past Metroid games. Even so, it IS a truly satisfying game to play, and well worth the money.

Metroid Dread a sequel to Metroid Fusion. This game was one that I had always wanted to play but never actually got a chance too, that is until a viewer forced me too. I found this game fun, but some of the encounters were such a pain in the ass when it came to the E.M.M.I. that I hated how some of the areas were. Again though, the game was made to be difficult and for a first time playing the game; it was. Gameplay: The gameplay itself is such a fun time. The mechanics and the traversal techniques are all smooth as heck. There really isn't anything like super "gimmicky" or easily to exploit without looking things up. The game is well crafted and unlike Fusion, you have "Navigation" rooms, but the game itself does not hold your hands, it just makes you look thru all the rooms to find out where you need to look next. Story: The story of the game is a very unique and while you know the X will come in eventually (because of it being a sequel to Fusion), the game itself never hints to when they are coming in, what area or anything. The story is literally told and witnessed when the developers wanted it too and they took great care in revealing it and when. Regardless, the story is all about Samus being stuck on a planet after getting a briefing and a video from the GFMC about the X still being alive and that the robots they sent (E.M.M.I.) have gone unresponsive and they are unsure what happened to them. Visuals: The graphic quality and the background ground (and foreground) environments are beautifully well crafted. Each area is very unique and each one looks so beautiful as you explore that it is very easy to get lost in the beauty of it. The monsters are all very pretty and well crafted as well though some of them are a pain in the ass to be honest especially when it comes to deflecting their attacks. My only complaint about the graphics really were the X. I don't like they the bigger ones were just a large colored blob. Fusion they were more "see thru", though you see they readded this in all the tiny creatures that the X mimic. Soundtrack: The music is well crafted and quite honestly, I found myself humming along to it. The music is all unique to the areas but you can tell inspiration was taken for a few of the tracks. Regardless, I would listen to these tracks on repeat on YT haha. Closing: The game is fun and worth a playthrough or two. I would not play on the "one life" video myself as I am not that good but for a normal playthrough it is absolutely worth it. :) I highly recommend this game to any person still stuck on the fence about it.

Metroid vecchio stile con aggiunte interessanti ed un impressionante level design. Trama interessante anche se si mantiene sugli standard dei soliti Metroid in quanto a profonditΓ .

This game was hard, but very fun! Nintendo certainly did a great job proving they are still one of the best in the game when it comes to Metroidvanias. The controls for this game were just chef's kiss on this one as it felt super good to play. At first, it was fairly easy, but the final boss was one of the hardest bosses I've ever beat. Made we want to pull my hair out and eat it on stream, but GOD DAMN did victory taste sweet after sweating the final boss for a few hours. Definitely recommend if you can handle the difficulty 😎
