In the game's Stadium Mode, one player competes in 80 different battles, divided into four tournaments. Beat the Stadium Mode and you're in for a bonus battle against the ultimate Pokémon warrior, Mewtwo, as well as a secret mode that gives you 80 brand-new, and devilishly tough battles. There is virtually no way you can beat the secret mode without having trained your own, elite Pokémon. One to four players compete against each other or the computer in a no-holds-barred battle with customizable rules. You can select rental Pokémon for these battles -- but that makes them much too predictable since their selection of techniques isn't determined by the trainer. You can also select quick and easy versus and random battles.

Pokemon stadium where do I begin... ----- This isn't actually the first Pokemon stadium game on the N64. This was the first one we got in the west, while this game is known as Pokemon stadium 2 in Japanese as they first one only had like 134 Pokemon to choose between. Anyway Pokemon stadium where do I begin? First I take off the rose tinted glasses. I love the charm of this game when you start the game you are met with a Pikachu that says it's name by the famous voice actress " Ikue Ōtani ". She voices Pikachu in the anime and in the games where it has a voice! Then we are met with a lot of models of Pokemon standing up flying forwards the screen and then the logo drops. It's super cute! If you know Pokemon you are ready to go. In the main menu they show how many controllers are plugged in and if there is a memory pack for "Pokemon red,blue or yellow" You can also do a quick battle versus a CPU or Player 2. When you are in there is a big map where you can choose many modes from Cup challenges, Gym castle challenge, Oak's lab, Hall of fame, The kids club, free battle and the giant Game boy color. I will give you short run down. The cup challenges has 4 cups to choose between. The gym castle has you facing the gyms up to the elite 4 and your rival! Oak's lab is mainly for game boy stuff and transferring prized Pokemon. Hall of fame is where you have trophy of all the Pokemon that beat the elite 4. Kids clubs is a bunch of mini games you can play! Free battle is where you can battle your friend or cpu with any rental Pokemon or ones from game pack. Game Boy color tower is mainly for playing your version of Pokemon Red,Blue or yellow on the big screen! Other than that I think this game is really good and does it still hold up? Well for me it holds up extremely well. Then again I grew up with this. Recently it got added to the Nintendo switch online so that is going to be a lot of fun! Take a shot of water every time i say Pokemon! Just kidding! 😂
