In Railway Empire, you will create an elaborate and wide-ranging rail network, purchase over 40 different trains modelled in extraordinary detail, and buy or build railway stations, maintenance buildings, factories and tourist attractions to keep your travel network ahead of the competition. You'll also need to hire and manage your workforce if you want to ensure an efficient train service, whilst also develop over 300 technologies ranging from mechanical improvements to the trains themselves to workplace infrastructures and advanced amenities as you progress through five eras of technological innovations.

I'm gonna love any game centered around trains, and this one is no different! I do get the same sort of addiction with this game that I normally get with Cities Skylines, so I've spent some entire days in the past few weeks just managing a railway across all of the UK. I spent most of my time looking for the absolute most efficient layout possible for the railway, and occasionally when I found it, only then would I move on to another area of the game. This was enjoyable, but eventually became a bit much when I had dozens of stations and warehouses, and twice as many engines out on routes! I'll probably play this again at some point, train games are kinda rare, and this is a good one!
