Silent Hill: Origins is the fifth installment in the Silent Hill survival horror series, and a prequel to the original game. As in the previous entries, the player move back and forth between nightmare and real versions of the town, gathering items used to solve puzzles and open up new areas. Monsters of various types provide obstacles and, in series tradition, are mostly disturbingly twisted versions of humanity. The main character can fight with his bare fists or use melee weapons. Unlike previous games in the series, melee weapons break after a time. There are also one-shot items that can be thrown and several guns. There is no HUD, but the edge of the screen turns red when the protagonist is near death.

For a non Team Silent game it's not bad. The story is lacking and melee combat sucks but everything else is okay I guess. You know what, just stick with SH1-4

Całkiem przyjemna gra, natomiast gameplay strasznie nudny i absolutnie banalny, dosłownie samograj. Historia jakaś taka randomowa, osobiście uważam iż lepszym "początkiem" serii jest jednak oryginalny Silent Hill 1.

Esse jogo é muito tosco, tanto os designs dos personagens como o QUÃO LENTO VOCÊ FAZ TUDO NO JOGO, também esse negócio tosco de entrar pelos espelhos no Otherworld e o número MASSIVO de armas que você tem no inventário. Mas até que o backstory do primeiro jogo é interessante.

Uno de mis juegos favoritos en la saga, aunque entiendo que le faltan muchos detalles para tener la mistica que tenían aquellos realizados por "Team Silent". Dicho esto, la jugabilidad es muy fácil y divertida tanto en cuanto a combates como los puzzles, la historía esta bien escrita en el sentido que logra hacer las conexiones necesarias para afrontar la historia del primer Silent Hill de playstation.

A weaker Silent Hill game to be sure. Story is kind of a flatline comparatively. Durability mechanics hamper the combat somewhat, but your fists have infinite so go wild and punch all the monsters (you can stunlock most of them). Still worth a run-through if you're a Silent Hill fan and decently fun at times.

Way better than I expected it could be. The combat is better than all the original 4 Silent Hill games, and was probably the first "fun" one to play. Which I think doesn't quite work with the theme of Silent Hill... This game lacked a connection between the player to the story and characters. But, it's easily a game worth your time.

Muy buen silent hill que tiene un ritmo lento pero inquietante, en los controles de batalla se siente muy amplio y es le sienta mal, los puzzles y como llevan la historia se sienten bien pero algo simple al final de cuentas, Es algo corto pero efectivo.

PCSX2. Как знакомство с серией Silent Hill - Silent Hill: Origins подходит достаточно посредственно. Камера в стиле прошлых игр, но местами очень кривая. Банально не видно в кого стреляешь. Боссы слабые, главное рашить из пушек. Локации примитивные и приедаются. Один раз уже забрасывал игру, наврятли осилю снова. Максимум 6/10.

Solid game. Good music, good story. I'll always fuss about needless Pyramid Head, but this game did the best it could to update aspects of SH1 and contextualize the SH movie a bit better. I also thought it lost out a bit by showing the Otherworld as something you could move back and forth into, rather than making it inescapable horror. Still, the storytelling and atmosphere were on point, and this is one of the better sequels. Still can't touch the original three.
