A JRPG entry in the Super Mario franchise in which Mario meets many unlikely allies in order to jump and fight his way through the Mushroom Kingdom and collect stars to repair the Star Road, the pathway that grants people's wishes, which was destroyed by Smithy, the otherworldly entity that hijacked Bowser's castle and threw the Kingdom into disarray.

I didn't beat this game until 2023, even though I thought I had beaten it many times as a kid. There's a reason this game lives on in the annals of history. What more can I say? Never played the remake, probably never will.

Played this game as a kid but NEVER completed the game! Enjoyable from beginning to end and am even more excited for the remake coming up soon! Highly recommend for those who want an enjoyable RPG with a great cast and enjoyable story!

-Love the graphics! -Final Fantasy meets Super Mario -Story is fun. Can be corny at times, but its fine. -Grinding isnt hard in the game. MAX level you can reach is 30, and i suggest you get your team there. Find at least 22 frog coins (I think) and trade that for the EXP Boost. The final stretch of the game is the perfect grinding spot. -I say the game is at least worth 1 playthrough

Super Mario RPG is a great entry level game into JRPG's. With its relatively short total gameplay time of 18-ish hours you get enthralled with the Mario universe. There are tons of good jokes and it an all around chill and pleasant playthrough of a turn based RPG. One of my favorite mechanics of this series is the "Timed Hits" functionality which seems to have died off in turned based RPG's that I've noticed. This is a great building block game for kids and would highly recommend for anyone in that younger age group as a first exposure to RPG's.

THIS GAME!! THIS GAME man is my FAVORITE GAME OF ALL TIME! The game introduced me to RPGs. The love and craft into a Final Fantasy game but Mario. I love Final Fantasy and I love Mario. I grew up with Nintendo and I also grew up with Final Fantasy. Of course, my favorite character of all time is my boy Geno! He's the man! If you have never played this game I highly, highly recommend it!
