THE AWESOME ADVENTURE OF CAPTAIN SPIRIT 80 "And i don't know where to begin" GRAFICA:7/8 SONORO:8 1/2 GIOCABILITA':7 LONGEVITA':7 1/2 TRAMA:8 1/2 EMOZIONE:8/9 +Atmosfera incredibile +Soundtrack preziosa +Carico di significato -Su Xbox One cali di frame -Dura poco -Nient'altro Dopo due anni di videogiochi principalmente contenenti grandi gameplay e tecnicismi vari sono tornato a sentire il bisogno di " Narrativa". Ebbene si, la mia scelta è ricaduta nuovamente sui Dontnod autori del capolavoro Life is Strange e questo Captain Spirit consiste nel prequel del Life is Strange 2 che mi accingerò a giocare subito dopo. Chris Eriksen è un bambino di nove anni che si trova ad affrontare una situazione famigliare tragica ma che cerca di vivere le sue giornate all'insegna di quel gioco che trascende la realtà sfociando nella fantasia, o anzi forse quella fantasia che finisce a sfociare nella realtà. Vedetela come volete , le due orette in compagnia di Chris Eriksen sono accompagnate come al solito da una gestione sublime dell'atmosfera tipica della serie LIS con una OST dolce e pertinente. Il gameplay è esattamente quello visto nel LIS e nel suo prequel Before the storm cosi come il motore grafico. Una sorta di prologo a Life is Strange 2 estremamente promettente con un'ottima caratterizzazione dei due personaggi(Chris e suo padre) ed un'atmosfera splendidamente caratterizzata. Il tutto in un gioco che dura si, solo due ore, ma che è stato messo sugli store digitali completamente free-to-play. Ho voglia di un gioco narrativo, su cosa mi butto? Un qualsiasi gioco Dontnod.

It tells the story of Chris Eriksen, a 9-year-old boy dealing with the recent loss of his mother. Chris lives with his emotionally distant and alcoholic father, Charles, in a small rural town. To escape his difficult home life, Chris imagines himself as a superhero named Captain Spirit, going on adventures and fighting imaginary villains. Over the course of the game, players guide Chris through his Saturday routine. Tasks like cleaning up, doing laundry, or decorating the house for Christmas are interwoven with rich daydreams that turn mundane moments into exciting superhero missions. such a cute and cozy game that showed you a story of a young boy that has to deal with his father’s drinking issues after their loss of a very close person. the experience of playing as a little boy who sees the world as one big playground was interesting and also sad because i wished better for him. i think it’s good to play this short free filling game before hopping into life is strange 2 (more precisely they’ll tell you when to play the dlc while playing lis2) so you have more insights and backstory
