The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages is one of two Zelda titles released for the Game Boy Color, the other being Oracle of Seasons. The game retain many gameplay elements from Link's Awakening such as the graphics, audio and top-view perspective. It also features eight dungeons and a large overworld to explore like in the previous games. Oracle of Ages is said to be more puzzle-oriented than its counterpart being more action-oriented. After completing one of the two games, both can be linked to form a single linear plot with an alternate ending. Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons were often credited as being two of the top games for the Game Boy Color.

The strangest game in the Legend of Zelda series. The mechanics of the rings became the most unclear for me. Looking at the bonuses that the rings provided me, I often thought "Do I really need this?" As a result, I only used the ring to search for soil, to plant Gash seeds and then gave up on this idea. The Goron territory became stuffy for me, it feels like they are deliberately making the game longer just so that the game would be longer. Dancing with the Goron is broken to hell because often there will be a fail for many reasons, starting from the fact that you will not hear the necessary sound for the combination (For example: you hear the following dance on the button: B B B A B B A, you press B B B A B and lose because you had to press A again), to unclear timings of these same combinations (You can see 2 absolutely identical dances and press the buttons according to the same timings, but it may turn out that the timing between the 2 buttons is 1 second, or maybe 0.0001 seconds).

I remember really liking this game when I beat it back in 2017. The puzzles are very inventive and I really appreciated the time travel aspect of the game - it's crazy that the game fit 2 entire big maps and you could traverse the two! It was such a cool dissemination of the time travel mechanic from Ocarina of Time. Really like this.

I enjoyed this a lot more than Seasons and the linking between the 2 games is really a great idea

Almost a perfect game a perfect game! Being on the Gameboy it hurts due to the lack of buttons reason why this needs a remake like Link's awakening. There were a few moments descriptions and "how to do" where not there. 100% the hardest Zelda I have ever played. I loved my experience and look forward to playing seasons next

It is a fine Zelda game. I like the music a lot, but some gameplay elements are a bit frustrating and navigating the overworld reminded me of Link to the Past, which I was not fond of.
