One by one, everyone left the once bustling village for the city. Everyone, except Talma. Now approaching the end of her days, she maintains a simple, solitary way of life, surviving, subsisting, tending to her homestead and her goats. Develop your own personal routine as you care for your farm and your animals. Tend to your goats, make cheese with their milk, collect eggs and cook meals, grow vegetables and barter with the travelling merchant who brings increasingly disturbing letters from your family in the city. A follow up to the critically acclaimed Where the Goats Are, The Stillness of the Wind is a quiet rumination on life and loss.

Вначале понравилась, но финал не впечатлил. Грустно и очень растянуто к концу.

If you cannot enjoy a game that is really slow-paced and requires a lot of reading, feel free to skip this. Hell, If you want to try, get it on sale. The game follows the life of Talma, an elderly woman who lives a simple life on her homestead. While her family, one by one, left for the city across the sea, they still keep in touch by sending letters to Talma about their lives there. The game starts with you playing as Talma, spending a day in her routine. But Talma won't be able to do everything because she is really slow. That's the whole point and you can't blame. So, it's up to you how you want to spend Talma's time each day until the end. I'm telling you again, though this game is short, it's really slow-paced to enjoy and you need to read to understand the story as it's delivered through texts. Mostly, it is delivered through mail sent by a peddler but you can interact with objects and places, she'll share a bit the story behind them. Overall, the story is quite beautiful and somewhat sad or dark.

I really enjoyed how the atmosphere was in this game. The Stillness of the Wind tells a story, featuring an aging woman left alone on the farm, after her relatives have one by one left for the city. The story is told through letters that the woman receives, so it was a little harder for me to connect to the characters that the story was about. I was not a fan of the slow moving main character who had to walk far away from the farm to collect things. It's still a great game and worth playing.

The horror is in the lore, feeling powerless as your family suffers faraway

Again a game, that probably came in some bundle I purchased. Technically it is a story with basically one main location and agricultural crafting/selling of good, which have nothing to do with the story. Confusing, since it seems to be two games in one - the story one and the survival part. Steam review: This one is a little weird. Very minimalistic setting but a very interesting story. Personally I have no idea why the granny needs to craft things at all - This game made me think if it really is about survival (as the description said). IMHO the survival is just to play time for the story to develop and being told through the letters. The crafting is logical and well thought through, but the player has to pay very close attention to the story in the letters to not drop the ball about what is happening. Very short game. Nevertheless, it gets a recommended, due to the fact, that it is better price-value than a movie ticket here in Finland.
