Ignoring the price, it's a nice JRPG to spend a long time on. Regarding the story: While individual character development is limited, the overall development of the cast is nice. The story takes a while to develop, but was satisfying enough to me at least. Main issue is that the ending leaves the player without full context or conclusion, which may come with the Answer DLC in September of 2024, for an inflated price. As for the gameplay, it's similar to Persona 4 with the baton pass mechanic of Persona 5 added in. While it still feels like a japanese game show, it still feels a lot more manageable. Combining this with the flowing, flashy visuals and methodical tempo of the amazing soundtrack I suppose could give the combat sections a much stronger feel for its substance. Outside of combat, dungeon crawling is very basic, not much to say. Walk about, find treasure, hit enemy to start encounter. Outside of dungeon crawling, there is a lot of story involved, and one would be juggling 5+ mini-stories on top of the overarching narrative.
