"Trinkets and baubles, paid for in blood" While the first one has you administering a hamlet and a band of mercenaries, the sequel has you taking care of a party going to confront the madness of the world in a stagecoach. The combat from the first game is refined making your dice rolls a bit more honest and manageable (looking at you +0 bleed crit heal occultist) and changes quite a lot with the "slay the spire" format of maps. If managing the hamlet was what sold the first one to you, it might not sate your needs, as you just adapt to whatever is thrown on you in each run, but if the combat was what sold you, this one might be what you're looking for. Sad some classes are gone/not included yet but still had my fun with the game.

Played it on PS2 during my childhood, revisited it on PCSX2 and it was still fun. It's one of those decent big IP games, that, despite not having anything very remarkable about it, doesn't have any bad points. It's mission based format makes a good experience and does make me wish for a bit more. Still haven't watched the movie, but seems faithful to it and sadly it doesn't have Shredder in it. Do play it if you have the chance, it's cool.
