I liked this game a good amount! the elements were nice, upgrades good, energy silly, fun hats to change up style, crit system unique! also collecting stuff was pretty darn fun I guess most of my complaints were in the final boss being such a headache to deal with (it could have just been how I was at the time) and that one creepy guy character But a majority of it oozed fun characters like the evil gay fish & ms pikmin. Plus had a potent 2000's feel to it Overall a comfortable experience I'd say to be honest! Had my fun c:

I really loved how Cristian Whitehead went around to make an indie studio! I think for their first indie game it knocked it out of the park! love the theming asnd feeling of movement, plus so much more! I fell in love with this game more than I was expecting. Its silly preseintation and depiction of the characters sloted well between some of the mroe serious but not dark lore and story telling! thought it was cute. Althought I would have loved to see more personal character interaction. The music and art really got me giddy and excited when I'd be dropped somewhere new, Tee Lopes and CW and Hunter Bridges making it together made a unique and pretty blend of tunes for my ears. Really did a good job nailing a feeling they wanted you to feel in each area. As for art I loved the restricted them for preforming acts and a loose court room joker ascetic. Also characters were pretty diverse in what they made. Just felt like you were meeting such varied peoples during your boss fights. Gameplay wise, I do think they executed the movement in a really restricted yet fun way. Became a puzzle finding out how you'd abuse the moveset with the flow of each level. each power up didnt quiet seem unnesciary even if I wishes for more. I also though the shop needed more to keep my invested, but I do think it atleast works having a donkey kong freeze type shop set up. However I felt like I had a blast during this whole game. I had a pretty big smile on my face and was proud of what Evening star made. I'd love to see what they make in the future. They would be the perfect indie company to try to QA for in the future or what be,! They made a cute game and glad i found out about them from sonic mania c:
