Overall Score : 7.5/10 Steam Deck This was a weird game and my entry to the series. This game honestly feels like a Resident Evil game that just had its combat changed and that's probably what happened, cause I've heard the story about Dante being Leon originally etc. There are fixed cameras and key items of sort that should be used to unlock doors. The combat is decent and felt good enough ,nothing great ,but not bad either , enemy variety is not good ,but I do not mind, what I did mind though were the bosses ,most of them sucked and were reused. The controls really feel off ,especially at some points like the final fight. The story....eh... I really had no clue what was happening ,I guess it's Dante wanting to kill the big bad guy who killed his family, but first has to beat smaller bad guys and that's basically it. The characters are whatever ,but Dante is kinda fun ,even when he doesn't want to. The acting is honestly pretty bad, there was a scene, which was supposed to be sad(it wasn't because there was no connection between Dante and Trish) that was funny af ,because of the line ''I should have been the one to fill your dark soul with light" which firstly is a hilarious thing to say and secondly there was a voice crack in it. All in all, it's a decent game,do not expect an action masterpiece nor a great story and you will be fine. It's just some goofy janky action game with cool atmosphere.

The controls really feel off ,especially at some points like the final fight. Finally, there were times that the camera SUCKED ,making me unable to see my character. The story....eh... I really had no clue what was happening ,I guess it's Dante wanting to kill the big bad guy who killed his family, but first has to beat smaller bad guys and that's basically it. It's really funny how even the finale is like a Resident Evil finale, there is a timer and the castle is collapsing ,but then the big bad guy we thought we beated returns as a mass of meat and we kill him with a powerful gunshot and then our beloved protagonists leave on an aeroplane that dropped from the roof. All in all, it's a decent game,do not expect an action masterpiece nor a great story and you will be fine. It's just some goofy janky action game with cool atmosphere and vibes ,followed by some okay combat.

Overall Score : 9.9/10 Steam Deck This was the best run I've ever done in this game, it's also the first one I did in years. This game really feels like home. I'll give a little background to this one, because my relation to this game is kinda bizarre. I first played it in 2017 I think, it was my second fromsoftware game,my first being Dark Souls 3. I was seeing people praising this game and calling it better than 3 and that made my teenage lil ds3 mind angry. I played this game with constant negative thoughts and compared every moment to ds3,which obviously lead to me not enjoying it as much and succeeding in calling it inferior to its sequel. A year later remastered came out and for some reason I got it, I replayed it ,but this time my elitism wasn't as active ,I enjoyed that run more, I replayed it again and again and I loved it more each time, gradually becoming my 2nd favourite FromSoftware game behind Bloodborne. So the message of the story is people please be open minded when play a game. After this run on the Prepare to Die edition(+dsfix obv), I'm wholeheartedly calling Dark Souls my favourite FromSoftware game. I love the earlier more simple and grounded FromSoftware gameplay design. They just never managed to recapture Dark Souls' magic. The excellent interconnected world design, lore ,iconic bosses, characters and atmosphere. EVERY SINGLE area is memorable and great. This game truly is a masterpiece(Bed of chaos aside). I found stuff that I never did in my 250 hours of Dark souls , a second bonfire in tomb of the giants ,an extra shortcut to new londo and a pendant that counters black magic, which was nice to use on Manus. I did Siegmeyer's questline for the first time ,I saved Solaire obviously and used my beloved Ornstein's armor set ,which was the one I used on my first playthrough. I spiced things up using quelaag's furysword for the first time, but ended Manus and Gwyn with the beloved Abyss Greatsword (I'm sorry Ciaran). Of course my boy Solaire joined the final fight and linked the fire in his own world (I let it fade out). Artorias is my favourite FromSoftware boss. I love this game
