I used to think I liked this game less than I did generations. But coming back to it, a lot of the elements I used to not like have really grown on me. The big one being the werehog. I think when I first played this game I essentially refused to engage with it, which worsened the experience considerably. When I engaged with the combat, and learned new skills, and optimized my combos, I found myself having plenty of fun with this half of the game. Some levels (although the only example I can think of from the top of my head is Arid Sands Night) are poorly handled though. There was a section of this level where enemies would keep respawning, and I was under the impression that I had glitched the game, but no for some reason it was just several waves of the exact same enemies. Admittedly I think the game falls into the pitfall of having a lot of these fun skills locked behind levelling up your combat, but even then I think it's quite fun, and I was dumping a majority of my EXP into combat anyways. I've definitely come to enjoy the werehog, but it definitely doesnt surpass the main attraction... The daylight stages. I definitely enjoy these more than generations modern. This game focuses a lot on challenge, and I really do think they nailed boost formula on their first try, as I think the level design here really nails the replayability aspect, I found myself wanting to replay levels before having even finished the game. The ranking system is tough, and I'm quite a fan. I quite enjoyed Eggmanland this time around, an aspect that I originally despised. A gauntlet level is a really fun idea, and I think that coming around on the werehog made it really work for me. A challenging level in a sonic game is always welcome in my eyes, especially since this one doesn't just go for bullshit and is actually well designed. The story is inoffensive, its quite simple and all about Sonic and Chip, which I find to be a fun dynamic. Boss fights are serviceable, they aren't bad or anything, but I'm definitely not itching to revisit them really. Now, we just have to wait for Sega to make this game look nice and run well on anything but the Xbox series X

Honestly, I loved this way more than I ever thought I would, even referencing my childhood. The levels were more inventive than they'd ever been, and the werehog wasn't *that* painful. Great time.

i don't even know how to speak Spanish, but giving Sonic Unleashed a 5 star rating is kinda insane. But its not a bad game, and i get why you would like it

I've played the PS2 version first, and that was..an experience..but replaying it on PS3 is SO much better, and is actually the first Sonic game I've played that made me think "is Sonic too fast?" XD Overall, a good game, and I enjoy the running bits. Grinding to level up is a bit... Well, it's a grind, but I still enjoyed the game :D
