The long-awaited brand new entry in the original farm/life simulation franchise, known in Japan as Bokujo Monogatari, makes its debut on Nintendo Switch, bringing players more freedom than ever before to shape an untamed wilderness and customize their farm down to the very tile. Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town

Love the Story of Seasons series and Pioneers of Olive Town was no exception. I just finished beating the story but I'll be playing this game for a lot longer because there's so much to do in it and they're still adding content to the game. One thing I wish we could do is upgrade our machines to process more stuff at once because I have a ton of machines all over my farm. I wish I could hire people to work my farm as well or have my spouse/kid help out with some chores. I'm so glad that the Story of Seasons franchise sticks to not overwhelming me with so many places to visit. There's my farm, a few areas around my farm to unlock and expand it, the town itself, and then a couple small towns from DLCs. I like being able to talk to everyone in town and still have time to get stuff done around my farm. I'm also glad that time doesn't go by so fast like in some other games....*cough* Harvest Moon *cough*. I can get a lot done in a day and if I run out of stuff to do (which I never do) I could just go to bed early. Love the game and I can't wait to see what else they add to it! In the meantime I still need to finish upgrading my house, figure out who I really want to marry and have a kid.

Eigentlich eine schöne Idee für ein neues Story of Seasons, aber die Dialoge haben mich in die Grundschule zurückversetzt. Es ist echt nicht für meine Zielgruppe geeignet vermute ich.

Endlich ein SoS-Game, dass meinen Glauben in die Reihe etwas wiederherstellen konnte. Die Story haut einen nicht vom Hocker, dafür sind Grafik, Gameplay und Musik angenehm und schön gemacht. Das Spiel lädt zum Stundenlangen planen, umbauen und grinden ein und hat mich auch nachwievor an den Eiern, um hin und wieder ein bisschen rumzudaddeln. Der Progress ist super angenehm, nichts fühlt sich zu schnell oder zu langsam an und für Leute wie mich, die dann doch eher zweitrangig an die Beziehungen mit den Bewohnern rangehen (einfach weil wir gelernt haben, dass die NPCs leider meistens sehr flach und repetitiv sind), gibt es mehr als genug zu tun! Rundum ein großartiges Spiel zum Entspannen, auch wenn repetitiver Grind wahrscheinlich nicht für jeden das Wahre ist. Aber eingefleischte Fans werden definitiv ihren Spaß haben.

Haven't been posting as much on here because December was a bit crazy. I got some new games for Christmas and I'm so excited! I caught Story of Seasons on sale for the switch and I've been loving it! I also got a couple of games that I plan to play on stream in the future like Okami. I'm hoping this means good things to come for 2022!
