A very good Indiana Jones story! It fits right in with the movies and ties with Raiders of the Lost Ark as my second favorite Indy story. The villain of the story, Emmerich Voss, is brilliant—he's basically Indiana Jones if he were an over-the-top Nazi and might just be my favorite Indiana Jones villain in the franchise. Another highlight of the story was Locus, played by Tony Todd (may he rest in peace). Now, with all that said, I did find the puzzles a bit too easy. Most of them weren’t really challenging at all, which was a shame. Gina was really annoying during gameplay, but she was totally fine during the actual story and cutscenes. I’m not sure why they made her so dumb during gameplay—I thought that was a shame. All the side quests were very fun and engaging; they had a lot of effort put into them. I think this game will be very fun for completionists. I thought the first-person camera choice was excellent; honestly, I really dug it. The combat was really good and very fun. I didn’t even shoot anyone during my time playing because it was so enjoyable doing hand-to-hand combat and stealth. But the boss fights in the game were all very underwhelming. All around, it’s a great game with a great story, though it has a few negatives during gameplay. I’m hoping MachineGames gets to make more Indiana Jones games in the future for sure.
