"Let's Build a Zoo is a fun game that allows players to experience what it's like to own and manage a zoo, complete with a built-in morality system. During the dozen hours I spent playing this game, I was completely immersed and having a blast. As well, the music and pixel art graphics are top-notch. However, I did find that the game lacks replay value. After playing through all three maps with the DLCs, I started to feel like I was just going through the motions. The gameplay loop became repetitive as I waited for new animals, buses, and research to become available. By my third playthrough of a map, I felt like I had seen everything the game had to offer. Overall, Let's Build a Zoo is a fun and engaging game, but it may not hold your interest for multiple playthroughs. Get this game on a sale and you will not be disappointed."

Before writing this review for Anno: Mutationem, I decided to watch the launch trailer just to remember what the game was offering at launch. Anno is a cool game with a great setting, awesome pixel art designs, and pretty good voice acting. However, all of that is overshadowed by a messy story. The trailer sells you on living in an interesting cyberpunk world, walking the streets, and talking to people. While the trailer has some exciting moments, it doesn't prepare you for the nonsensical story that goes completely off the rails by the ending. I was initially on board with what the game was offering halfway through, but then things just got weirder and wilder to the point where I stopped caring. The game had potential, but it failed to deliver a coherent and engaging story.
