Baba Is You is a puzzle game where you can change the rules by which you play. In every level, the rules themselves are present as blocks you can interact with; by manipulating them, you can change how the level works and cause surprising, unexpected interactions! With some simple block-pushing you can turn yourself into a rock, turn patches of grass into dangerously hot obstacles, and even change the goal you need to reach to something entirely different.

Very thought provoking puzzle game. Makes you think very far out of the box. Well over 100s of puzzles and mechanics to keep you constantly involved in the puzzles. 8/10 would recommend

This game made me feel not so smart. Some of the puzzles seemed completely unsolvable, but of course they weren't. Not a great game to play with my chat since people tended to spoil, but such an interesting, clever concept... and great for memes.

Baba Is You is a puzzle game where you manipulate the rules of the puzzle to solve the puzzle. It's like a programming language. Take C++. When you start progressing, you learn different constructs and techniques to accomplish your goal. When you run into a problem, you can run and debug test cases to try and get your chunk of code to work. But, if you go in too deep, aka the post-game, you run into a roadblock which needs to be solved with abstraction. At that point, C++ only becomes one of the tools, and now you're focusing on source libraries which your code manipulates (or vice versa) to solve your task. I could have looked up documentation to figure out how to implement the source library, which in this case is manipulating the overworld to manipulate the level to manipulate the overworld to progress. But I already had loads of fun learning the game and solving these problems, and didn't want to spoil it by debugging it too much.

I love the creativity of the game. It makes you feel smart whenever you solve a puzzle yourself and feels very rewarding. One thing that doesn't let me give it 5 stars is the fact that in the middle of the game i gave up due to difficulty of the puzzles. Solid game. Would recommand picking it up on portable devices tho!!
