When a demon's castle darkens the land, two sisters challenge its halls. Together they can break the curse. Players take control of the two sisters with different attacks and capabilities to challenge the demon castle and the bosses waiting within. Discover new routes through the castle using the sisters' unique abilities! The stars of Grim Guardians are the long-distance focused "Shinobu Kamizono" and the close-range brawler "Maya Kamizono." Players will need to consider the situation when choosing which sister to control as they make their way through the castle, investigating the mystery of what happened to their school and its students. Other features include 2-player co-op with special actions, extensive difficulty options with the "Style System," unique changes on repeat plays, and most importantly the quality and challenge players have come to expect from Inti Creates titles, this time with a new gothic horror aesthetic.

Infelizmente eu esperava muito mais desse game não que não seja um bom game mas não superou as expectativas história frava exploração fraca gameplay fraco porém a arte é lindíssima

The Reaper Says: This game. Hoo boy, this game. To start: Don't let the user-defined tags on Steam fool you, this is NOT a Metroidvania, it is a Classic-vania. If you were looking for a game like Symphony of the Night, you are likely to be disappointed (not me though :) ). Mind you, I only played on the easiest difficulty for fun, so I'll likely return to this later for more of a challenge. Graphics-wise, the backgrounds for the levels are gorgeous in a vein similar to Ritual of the Night, and the characters pixelated. I found the controls to be a bit floaty, but this is me playing on a gamepad and the fact that my left hand doesn't function at 100% doesn't help matters much, so YMMV. Otherwise it controls well and it wasn't really a problem. There is also speed-tech in the game to be used :) . My major concern isn't with the length of the game (I played for 18 hours, a few of those were spent while watching Twitch), it's with the 2 collect-a-thons during the game. Purely optional too, but if you want that Platinum trophy or whatever, you gotta do it. The game does provide you with a compass that guides you to the boss of the level and if any treasures are nearby to them too (no slowdown, which is good) That's the kicker: If they're nearby; which, if you open it every screen, you'll know. During the second Collect-a-thon though, the compass will not help, so you gotta do it yourself. The game does have a number of retro throwbacks which I did appreciate; my favorite of which is the shopkeeper who says "Buy somethin', will ya?", a reference to the original Legend of Zelda. There is another one I won't mention, because it's part of the plot, and I try to write these without spoilers if possible. Lastly, there is "questionable content", for those who might want to stream the game to a platform like Twitch. The overtones of said content are incredibly obvious after a certain point. If you're squeamish around blood, I'd probably recommend playing in very small doses, if at all. All in all, I did enjoy playing this even on the Casual difficulty (just to get it off of my backlog), and might come back to replay it on harder difficulties later.
