Overall Score: 8.2/10 I got this game on a whim. I just saw it's case and fell in love with the cover , I did a quick search and saw that it has great reviews, seconds later I saw that there was an edition that had an artbook included and costed 10 more euros,so I said hell yeah I always wanted one and this one looks promising. The gameplay is really enjoyable, it's a great beat em up with simple yet really great looking areas. The bosses are all unique and memorable, though I can't say I liked the final form of the final boss,as it was kinda not fun to fight. Avataka was my favourite boss and the first form of the last boss was great as well. The combat feels great, but I have to say that I'd being able to defend better ,because at times I was like a freaking tenis ball that was being constantly hit from left to right without being able to do anything. The story is really interesting, I really liked the way it unfolds. The characters including the antagonists are well made and have intriguing and unique personalities, even though they have little time to shine. The americanhead was really fun to have around and Uriel was more of a tragic character, which was nice. I liked how progressively we got to see more of Shou's relationship with Isamu and the arc in which X went against Shou was great. I'm also pretty satisfied with how the game ends ,yet I'd like to know if the characters survived or not. The character and in general art design is top notch, it's easily in my top 10 games when it comes to designs , it's really great. The music is pretty good and sheesh the artbook is fantastic, I'm glad I got it. The comic was nice as well. All in all , Slave Zero X is a fantastic game (also my first beat em up) it's pretty tough at times, but it's worth every penny.

I wanted to like this game more but after a while the sense of challenge became about throwing waves of the same enemies. The gameplay didn’t progress as the time went along. A fun game for a short time.
