I really enjoyed the story of the game, but my god was our giant friend not helpful or responsive 55% of the game. Mind you we needed our giant friend to progress in the game, so it was frustrating.

This may be the most beautiful and meaningful game I have ever experienced. Like, i tear up just thinking about it idk how Ueda keeps doing it but i have never experienced such a moving journey.

I LOVE the story about Trico (traumatic ending aside) and while on PS4 the game ran horrible at times, the PS5 was a super smooth experience in regards to framerate! However, this game is still so tedious and difficult at times with the clunky/janky controls and Trico's stubborn attitude.. I have no clue who in their right mind tries to get this Platinum 😂

I took half a star off gameplay, because of some framerate issues on ps4, but other than that: AMAZING Fuck Tamagochi; THIS is the best digital pet experience you can have!

Definitely one of the most beautiful and poignant games I've ever played, but it struggles as a puzzle game. The solutions did not always feel like they had a clear line of logic, and often the Guardian creature's AI is erratic, often making the creature stand directly in your way or directly prevent you from moving forward in the story. I frequently found myself giving up on finding the solution myself, consulting a walkthrough, and being completely bewildered as to how anyone could have come up with those solutions on their own. I wouldn't even say I like puzzle games, but they frequently have the most appealing visuals and stories that draw me in.

This was the game that got me into needing a PlayStation so long ago and also the very first game we streamed! Total blast and still made me cry.
