I really had a good time playing Banjo Tooie after playing the first one, but I will say I did enjoy the first Banjo a lot more than this one. I never played these games growing up, so I don't exactly have a nostalgia for it like most enjoyers do. Banjo Tooie was fun to play and definitely ramped up the amount of moves you could do and variations of gamplay from the first one, but the backtracking and size of each zone really got annoying after a certain point. I understand that at the time this came out, this was probably revolutionary, but I would have preferred a more linear, smaller game rather than wandering around the massive maps with no sense of direction. The music is once again an ABSOLUTE BANGER throughout the entire game. Definitely some of the best from this era of gaming. The final boss made me want to rip my hair out because of the limitations of the control hardware at the time. The final boss in theory isn't hard, but in practice it was insanely hard due to not having 2 joy sticks to aim in FPS mode 🀬Overall, I recommend if you wanna play an absolute classic and experience the "Rareware" golden age of gaming.

I really wanted to like this game because of how unique it is, but unfortunately I felt it kinda fell flat. The Game/TV Show hybrid is a really cool concept, but I found myself just getting really confused by the story due to the typical "time travel" confusion that happens with any plot line using time as a theme. The TV show felt pretty low budget like I was watching a CW show. The gameplay was fun at times, but it was like impossible to find the perk points throughout the game because they decided to make them "balls of light" which were really hard to distinguish from regular light sources. Additionally, I hated the "glitchy and artifacting" look they gave to time being stopped. It made it very disorienting and it just straight up didn't look good. Overall, it wasn't a bad game, but it just wasn't a good game either 😐
